Oh boy it's hot...........yesterday at swimming lesson's the pool water was even warm. It's a lazy day of cleaning, laundry, BLAH, needing to cook and go to Walmart. Wanting a new haircut......... I get bored maybe a new color...........I need a new cell phone the kids have just about done this one in! Mom's birthday is today hoping to go shopping tomorrow to find something cute....we'll have cake Sat.. Waiting for that new job to call and give me a start date. Watching Little Bill....why do I like his show?

HELP!!!!!! Allergies

Things are changing around here. Aaron was tested this past week for allergies. Two days worth of testing and now the result............. food wise...... COLAS, CHOCOLATE, CORN, TOMATOES, STRAWBERRIES, PINEAPPLES, ORANGES, DAIRY, EGGS, CINNAMON, LETTUCE, CABBAGE, AND then there are the outside allergens and dogs.... sorry girls. So for sure the next three months he has to go without these foods until he can gradually introduce and see what he can and can't have. Now what's for dinner? I have suspected since Macy was born that she may have some food allegies life threating no but as a small child I was on shots and now proof of Aaron's results I feel for sure she may have some. We are gonna have her tested no reason making her wait until she is a grown adult. She already has the allergy induced asthma and Marlee has reacted to peaunut butter before so we will test her as well. Now if someone could wave their magical wand and give me a list of good recipes of what to eat I would feel better...............

Another recital has come and gone. I love this time of the year but I am also happy when it's done b/c it so very tiring for everyone. The girls did great this year!! Lots of progress from the last year. Danceworks always put on a good show!! Next year Marlee is super excited to add JAZZ to her classes!! My thoughts are already adding 2 more costumes giving us a total of 8 next year!! Oh my............!! Big thanks to everyone that helped in some way to get us through the weekend!!

Just a few days shy of 16 months old...............this sweet baby NEVER stops going unless she's sleeping. Always into something......on top of something you name it if she's not doing it it's next on her list. She exhaust me. Picky eater the first in the house so maybe I should count my blessings....... wants to be able to feed herself so I am always looking for things she can and will eat.....I have moved her to the table and done away with the high chair she likes it much better......still nursing for naps and bedtime........WON'T wear anything in her hair or on her head so I cut her bangs........calls both the girls Marlee ;) .....loves the be outside unfortunately the mosquitoes are horrible so we are always looking for an alternative.

I have come to the decision that it's not the girls age that makes them seem older it's this school thing. School is out but the beginning of the new year is right around the corner Aug. 24

1st grade here we come and to top it off Macy did extremely well this past year and has made her way into the "GIFTED AND TALENTED" class :) we are so very proud!!! She also received the MATH WHIZ award at the awards ceremony. Really my kid?!! She will be in portable buildings again next year until the new school is built. The new school once completed will house Pre-K thru 2nd grade. We are all hoping it's ready for the 2010 - 2011 year!!

Today we went to the pedi for Mia. It's been a long time since we've been to the pedi! She weighed 21 pounds and was 29.5 inches tall. No shots yesterday b/c in the middle of the night a mosquito bit her on the top of her earlobe and it was swollen 1.5xs it's normal size, red & hot......weird looking! her cheek and neck area were also red and blotchy. I tried to take a picture but every time I did she cried...........guess she was embarrassed ;) She is really something these days. Loves to wear every ones shoes, bracelets, talking more, crying when the girls cry LOL that's daily ... likes to drink anything from a straw, is a monkey see monkey do for sure.

Easter weekend was busy and fun. The girls got to play with their cousins, dye eggs, eat, hunt for some goodies and more. It was the first family gathering at the our home since we moved in.

We are getting our recital costumes in so I am looking forward to the next couple of weeks......lots of glue, sequins and rhinestones!!

So, I have promised new pics of the house. It's been busy as usual coming "home" tying up loose ends finishing up task and still lots of honey-do's. Still not fully decorated and trying to patiently wait on my dining room table to get here. I thought about just putting these on face book but really there is no privacy there. Does that make any sense? I like face book but there was a reason I started this blog.....so I could ramble on about nothing and have bad English and incorrect grammar.........LOL and those that really care can come here and see what's going on with us. The kids are doing WONDERFUL and LOVE being home. Our room&bath and Macy & Marlee's I haven't taken pics of yet...but I will. We just got our backsplash on in the kitchen.....so the pics were prebacksplash. I took a close up of what it looks like now.

We are so close to moving back in....it just can't be quick enough. Last minute touch ups.... waiting for this person and that person to "finish" their part. Someone slap me if I ever say I want to build a house. I really believed we would be home by Mia's birthday. So we will have it at mom's instead. Mia and I are off to have our picture made today like I did with the other girls. Wish us luck now that she is running around this should be interesting. LOL It's cold here (for us) 29 degrees this morning....hate it.

It's true ....one month until my "baby" turns one. I think the more you have the quicker the time goes by. For us this is the end of the road....bittersweet in so many ways. Our last first birthday and the beginning of so much more. She is walking and talking more. Eating lots of table food and has the diaper to prove it.!! She has become phobic of the bath tub so we have gone to the sink for now.......she stands on her head and looks between her legs at her sisters and thinks she's funny......she hollers for her sisters when there aren't around....she is getting to be so big. Can I put her sweet little life on pause?

Better late than never right. I got a Mac Book for Christmas. So I am getting used to it and just now got around to loading pics. LOVE IT!! by the way. We had great holidays and Santa delivered lots of goodies to bring home with us when we go. It looks like a storage facility here at mom's LOL. We just left things in boxes....easier to move that way. That's my new ride in the pics!! Santa brought that and the trailer for me and Mia ;)

Christmas Eve is tomorrow night and I haven't brought the girls to see Santa. hmmm.... He made a visit to school.. so Macy saw him.....Marlee probably wouldn't go up there and Mia I'm not sure..... I am trying to justify this so one day when Mia ask why I'll have a good reason. I did all my shopping via the net this year. I did escape yesterday for a few hours alone and suddenly realized why I choose the Internet...not a bad idea........seeing that most of my time was spent in line. Starbucks Chai Tea latte made it all better :) AND I bought my sweet deserving self my 1st Apple laptop. Good bye PC hope we don't miss one another. We spent some of the weekend buying furniture. The only thing left is the playroom, kitchen table, living room. I have my eye on a living room set from Pottery Barn. I hope it looks as good as it does in the catalog!! Aaron got to pick out his leather couch and chair.... just so no one can say they didn't have a voice LOL Things at the house are starting to wrap up. Hopefully after the holidays we can finish up and just wait on all our deliveries. MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!!!!!

This is a RARE site here .....snow!!! There was a 2 hr delay for Kindergarten this morning. So, Aaron let the girls go out in PJ's and make a snowman, touch the snow, make an angel. This was an absolute first for them and they LOVED every minute cold or not they didn't care. Of course by this afternoon it was all gone just memories forever in their minds. I have lived here since 1995 and it's never done this before. He even drove to our house to get a picture there.

Every night that is what Macy ask......counting tomorrow mommy how many more days? Santa was at school today taking pictures and asking what to bring. Mom gets to have two trees in the house this year....... hers and ours :) I have done ALL my shopping on the Internet this year. Was there really life before the Internet? It is all going to my Aunts house...as this (Mom's) is usually my stash place for gifts. We just this past weekend received our payment from insurance so we have been shopping to replace the big items. It has been fun but stressful in a weird way. I need a laptop so I have been struggling with Dell or Apple. The girls have returned to dancing this week. Marlee is having a hard time lately so we may have to look in to some therapy on coping after a natural disaster....but in my heart I hope that once we return home it will help. It will probably be closer to February now.

Mia has decided this week along with getting some new teeth that she would take a few steps on her own!! This could get interesting....... I don't remember exactly how old the girls were when they started walking I would have to look it up...BUT I don't think it was nine months ;) The house has been at a stand still lately just waiting for more money and Aaron to come home from Nebraska. It has been an emotional roller coaster around here lately. Marlee hasn't been doing that well,,,,,, I took her out of school while Aaron has been away it was just to much for me. I am glad Macy is doing good at school she never ceases to amaze me. She is just one of those kids that was born smart. I wish I could take the credit for that but honestly not sure where that came from. I am sad because we usually have the holidays at our home and I do a lot of cooking but considering I lost every one of my recipes and a house that won't be happening this year.

Mia is really growing fast!! While we have been here staying at mom's she's become fast as lightning. She can scale stairs in nothing flat and remembers where exactly she's not supposed to be LOL!!! She is standing alone and trying to cruise along the furniture. Can shake her head NO and say and wave bye. No more teeth yet just lots and lots of drool.

Well, we've been very busy in the last 2 weeks. Help arrived and they haven't stopped since!!! They are leaving this Thursday. We've come a long way....... January 2009 is the projected move in. Hopefully by then we will have been paid by insurance!! I haven't even been shopping for furniture just looking on the interent. Here are some pics with lots more to come. I spent most of the weekend in Sherwin Williams picking up paint.

(Gourmet Mushroom, Charming Rose, Mannered Gold, Blonde, Primitive Green, Potentially Purple) We still have quite a bit more to do. I am very excited about the flooring. It will be the same throughout the house. It's called Konecto. "Sunrise" It's gonna be awesome and my kitchen cabinets when they are through well.... they'll be awesome to. Black with a distressed finish YUM-O!!! Our yard is in pitiful shape. As soon as the house is ready we are gonna tend to all the ruts and holes and landscape it in the Spring. The bathrooms are getting worked on tomorrow....Marblecrafters is coming in the morning :) Stay tuned.......

We had lots of fun yesterday!!! We have been so absorbed in the recovery efforts lately that Halloween was a treat for all of us. Yes, even me!!! I have always wanted to dress up with the kids and so I went for it this year. They loved it and are already planning for next year. Life's to short not to have fun!!! Macy rocked the 80's.....Marlee swang the roaring 20's.....I did the 50's and Mia was a cute fairy. She doesn't like anything on her head so we tried to get at least one pic in. The girls both had parties and fall festivals at school. Mia and I went to help hand out treats for Marlee's. We all had our share of sugar!!!

I figured I should post before all my readers go away!!! I took Mia for 6 month vacs today....pretty good considering she will be 8 months in 2 more days......She weighed 17lbs 15 oz & 27 inches long. She has become lighting fast and is letting go when she stands up........you know what that means!!! She now says mama and not dada all day long :) and loves to scream and squeal. Marlee also got shots today for four yr old vacs. She was so brave in saying she would go first but oh the terror in her eyes and the tears!! She was 42 pounds and 42 inches tall .... Anyway, nothing a trip to Target couldn't fix LOL Macy has started back to school this week and is really enjoying catching up where they left off. Thank God for her great teacher. We are busy bees here getting all our jobs lined up. I am suppossed to be hearing from the insurance soon to let us know what we will get money wise. Lots and lots of people have been very dissapointed and I am giving that worry to God. We have truly been blessed by many gifts since this has happened to us and we are forever grateful to each and every one!!!

If life has given me lemons

I should have enough to offer a glass to lots of people............................
My hubby made it over the bridge to see our home yesterday but couldn't get in because the doors were swollen from the water. The water is gone now back to the Gulf of Mexico. I haven't really posted much about our stray cat (who is now our family pet). But prior to leaving I had her fixed... Monday a week ago to be exact. No I didn't bring her I couldn't and felt terrible about it but Aaron said when he drove into the driveway she came running!! She is safe now with him at his dad's. My Mom's house one Aunt and my elderly grandparents homes were spared any water damage. I thank God for that because I truly believe it would have killed my grandparents and that right now isn't something I could bare. Aaron went back today and made his way in. My dad and step mom went along with a camera to document their findings. There had been 3 feet of water in the house, garage and Aaron's detached garage. He has ordered us a POD to place what personal belongings that can be salvaged before the mold and mildew sets in. We are literally going day by day it's going to be a long time before we are back in our home. Do we rebuild...should we stay there.....move to a different city.....take our chances.....go to a totally new place and start all over with jobs and friends.....I don't know. I have told the girls. We wont be having birthdays parties this year. Macy's is coming up on the 25th. Hopefully I can post pics soon I know they haven't sent them to me for a reason.. well other than no electricity. It's bad. The water surge was so strong is moved all the furniture around in the house. My double dresser in the bedroom was turned over, Aaron's four wheeler was up on it's two front wheels, there was dead fish all over the place along with snakes and the smell in the city he said was rank. I am getting weary being away but know right now it's my only choice....the baby has been sick for the first time and I watched my mother have a seizure on the floor today...........I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I saw that. The girls have been busy playing with their cousins. There are 8 little girls here. It's a totally out of body experience. I just want to say Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. Macy pulled out her own tooth tonight while I was at Wal-Mart so the tooth fairy must make her visit......yes even when your homeless and evacuated the tooth fairy still can find you ;)

Mia is really something these days. For one she is loving her independence!! You put her down and she's off crawling here and there pulling up on whatever and when she realizes your watching well she thinks she's funny. I predict she will be trying to walk around Thanksgiving. I bought her this ducky(to help confine her) because she wasn't staying on her sponge and a wet soapy baby is like a slippery noodle. Her 2nd tooth on the bottom made it's way through this week. We are all trying to adjust to our schedules. Let me just say I am feeling over scheduled by our schedules. This week we've introduced dance and CCD to the mix and quite frankly it's kicking my butt. Literally. I am not one to EVER get sick and guess what.....I 'm sick with an irritating cold and a possible hurricane-evacuation 4 hour that takes 10 hours drive from hell.........AND I just had my stray cat fixed poor thing (she was preggers) last night if I could have quit my job I would have that's how bad I felt BUT obviously that's not an option LOL..........Macy has her 2nd loose tooth...is doing great in Kindergarten........ and Marlee is struggling with separation anxiety in a bad way and having temper tantrums...when things don't go her way she drops to the ground ...WTF....(thankfully it only happens when we are home).....I thought those happened when you were 2............Oh I forgot my children are special.... they waited until they turned 4....Macy went through this as well now that Marlee decided to refresh my memory I can remember...I feel like Dorrie on Nemo ............just keep swimming, just keep swimming...........

Marlee's 1st Day of Pre-K

Today was Marlee's big day. She will be at school 3 days a week now. It was a bit of uneasiness for us both this morning as she hugged my neck one last time as I was leaving. My cousins little girl is in her class so that makes it somewhat better for everyone. They are thick as thieves sometimes. When I picked them up this afternoon their teacher said they did wonderful going everywhere together holding hands.

What an ordeal. I am glad to be home in my small little town. We drove 680 miles round trip and I am pooped. It's always an adventure. Although I must say I could think of much better ways to spend time and money ....it's all about being "safe". This unfortunately is the risk involved living along the Gulf Coast. This was my 3rd time to evacuate in the last 6 years......and I have lived here since 1995. That's really saying something about climate change. What do ya do? Anyway, Marlee turned 4 while we were away. I had two babies during hurricane season...there was a reason Mia was born in February.

We have survived this first week of Kindergarten. Macy has her first oral report today and was very excited!!! It's all about her teddy bear. Fridays are all about school spirit so she and the teddy are giving it their best shot. GO BIG RED!!! Yesterday the baby and I went to school and ate lunch with her she was excited to see us. It was a special treat.

No pics today. She told me she was big enough for me to drop her off and she could walk in alone!! Not only that but insisted on buying her lunch today. Did you know that now they have this little lunch card that you just put money on and that's how they buy their lunch. WOW!! I can remember sneaking extra quarters from my mom to get ice cream and now we can view exactly what they buy online. She has asked that I come eat lunch with her tomorrow so happily I obliged ;) I'll bring Subway !!! She told me in the car on the way home she received her 1st graded paper and that it would make me cry when I saw it LOL Well it didn't make me cry but it made me very happy!!! It was a 100. Oh and BTW Ms. Mia has a tooth!! Bottom left and when they are up enough to see well I'll take a pic.

Is it ok to admit that I am tired and I would really love to shut my eyes for 10 minutes BUT I can't!!!!! I have always been an early riser the problem is I stay up late as well. "Because" it's quiet and peaceful and I can do what I want .....don't get me wrong I love my kids I wouldn't trade them for a million bucks.....well...I wouldn't. I had to make myself go to bed last night. Back to school is really having some perks...I was at Super Walmart this morning at 7:50 and home by 9 am!!! Marlee goes to Pre K and back to dance lessons next week!!! Mia has been a busy bee this week just seeing how far she can go!! Pulling up on whoever and what ever....did I mention that when we had our cabinets built they have NO handles so I can never keep them closed from her..Oh what's a girl to do!!

Today was the first day of school for Macy and I must say it went well. We had a really pleasant morning before getting to school. I am not sure who was more tired this afternoon myself or the girls. I didn't get too emotional "never let them see ya sweat right?" But I will say I had a huge lump in my throat as we walked her to her classroom. I thought about her all day and what she might be doing and if at noon was she eating her lunch I had packed. I can remember when she was just a tiny baby how this day would come and yet it seemed like it was so far away. Another milestone down many more to go................

We took the girls to have some pictures made today. Marlee because she'll be four next Sunday and Mia because she's 6 months.......and I want no one accusing me that I didn't have their picture made because they weren't here first LOL!!! They had a blast and it really was fun ...really!! Marlee still had on her birthday shirt so they ( the workers and ALL the customers sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Marlee) Very cute... but as you can see from the picture she wasn't to sure about it until after we left the store!!! Today was a little mixture of good luck .... happy birthday.... a last little something before school starts...and a good way to spend your money on a dust collector.

Meet your Teacher

This past week flew by in a hurry!! It was meet your teacher for both of the girls. This year will be full of the letter "W" as we have Ms. Warren and Ms. Warner. Let's hope one of us can keep that straight. I have been a big ball of nerves. I suppose that my children can sense this as kids have these unseen radars. I wasn't really worried about Marlee at Pre-K b/c for the past 2 years she has attended Mother's Day Out and really loved it...and not to mention it was really run like a Pre-K with a curriculum. Her plans and mine weren't quite the same on Tuesday night as she began to cry and wanted to go home. WHAT????? I could just feel myself getting all hot and sweaty in the church as the director gave her speech. Well, she is better now and we've talked. Sometimes in the thick of things I forget change is scary and growing up is hard to do :) Macy's night was Thursday and let me just say I was worried!!! But to my surprise Macy did great!!! Even had a few little friends in Ms. Warner's class. School is so different from when I was in school. Kindergarten isn't Kindergarten anymore it's work and homework...real number grades....a hurried lunch that you can't talk in... and little or no recess (BECAUSE SOME IDIOT SOMEWHERE TOOK RECESS AWAY!!!!)but we are gonna make the most of it and have the most fun we can. I just want to know is someone gonna hold my hand this Monday when she starts????

There is one thing..... well, maybe two or more that I have come to realize lol...... no matter what there will always be laundry and dishes!!! My mom has a hard time understanding "the bottomless loads of laundry" as she sees it. Well for one..... 5 people and one day constitute a load or two and if you don't stay on top and I try.... really I do it can be overwhelming. I have a couch and sometimes you can sit on it and sometimes you just know it's there!!! Mia was on the floor tonight crawling around and I decided to put her in the basket and Marlee joined in the fun.

Aren't you so excited today I am 6 months old!!! I have gotten so big and I am doing so much now. I realized today that I could sit up all by myself and it was great I even thought it was pretty funny. I love my juice in the cup and the cereal you have given me. You better wait on the bananas I wasn't to sure about that. I guess you'll need to do some shopping because my clothes are getting to small. I know you are worried about me getting off of the pallet on the floor but really mom how big are you gonna make it.......I am gonna crawl to the edge no matter what. Polly came at just the right time. August 12th will be Mia's 6 month birthday and for the first time she will get some "real solid food". I haven't honestly decided what she'll eat first..... I did buy a box of organic rice cereal or I may skip it and go for the fruit. I loved this high chair and it looks cuter in person. We waited until the last minute to buy one b/c of lack of storage and they are such space hogs. It's time to say good bye to the baby tub. She just doesn't want to stay in it.... she flips over to her stomach and leans over the edge to splash the water!!! I'll have to go get one of those yellow sponges and I think that will do the trick.

It happened today. We had just pulled in the parking lot to church to register for VBS and I heard....... I lost it , I lost it........lost what? my tooth ,,,,, my tooth and there it was so tiny and small. I remember when that tooth first made its first pearly appearance and now it's gone and the new one is waiting to move up. So now it's time for the tooth fairy to make her first official stop!!!

This weekend we celebrated our neighbors 6 th birthday with an all out "girlie" P*A*R*T*Y

and Mia turned 5 months old on Sat. as well. Thought about letting her have cake but I resisted the temptation. This was the first time Mia has really worn a bow.......made by me none the less :) I haven't really had the time or energy to make anything lately but I guess it's time to get crafty again. Last week painting the bedroom really got me going!!! Did you know that you can never redecorate to much..........!!!! Anyway hope everyone had a good weekend.

Grocery store experience

We headed off to the store after gymnastics. It was around dinner time and everyone was getting off of work so every line at the store check out was full. We hadn't been there 10 minutes. The girls were fluttering around the cart I was looking for my whole grain bread. Prior to getting to the store we stopped by Target to get a birthday gift for a friend and the girls "had to have" these cute little purse because "they don't ever get anything" know what I mean. Anyway, they brought these new purses into the grocery store. So all of a sudden when I look up Macy is panicking . Help I'm stuck.......I can't get this purse off. What did you do that for I said and better yet how did you do that? In the blink off an eye....my children can do the impossible. She had put that cute thing around her head and arm and it was stuck. Guess what I couldn't get it off either............the strap is short and I couldn't back her arm out!!! I tried again no luck......by this time I am getting irritated. She couldn't stay like this is was uncomfortable. Thankfully I tried again and it worked but it was a TIGHT squeeze. Never a dull moment!!

Macy has had a loose tooth for months now. But, just recently it has become wiggly enough to say it's ready to come out. As a matter of fact it's now so loose that she pushes it with her tongue and you can see the socket. BUT no one can pull it she wont let us. Chances are it's just going to literally fall out on it's own. Today while at my dad's we noticed the permanent tooth is just sitting at the gum line patiently waiting to come into place. Thought maybe that may have changed her mind for me to pull it.........nope not happening she said!!! So tonight as I was nursing the baby passing the time I noticed this add for the Gator Gripper and thought .............Gee if I only had one of those!!!!!

We headed out of town today. One good thing about where we live is that Houston is not that far away. It was just far enough for me to catch up on 3 magazines and Macy to ask "are we there yet" more than once. LOL We had a good time at the Children's Museum and then we headed off to the Aquarium. The Children's Museum was nice and the girls weren't ready to leave. We will be going back. As a parent of little kids I have come to appreciate a place like that. AND as you can see Mia did great even slept through some of the day!!!

A new toy to "share"

Aaron brought this new toy home the other day. A gently used mini electric quad for the girls. It's one step beyond the speed of a barbie jeep but not yet a gasoline powered machine. Don't worry they are getting helmets and it is set to the slowest speed. I cringe at things like this. He and the girls see fun and speed..... dare devil antics if you will and I see danger, broken bones etc. I guess that's the mother in me. We had a good fourth of July. We bought fireworks and set them off at mom's until the mosquitoes tried to eat us alive.

We celebrated Mom's 53rd birthday last night. I had a delish strawberry cheesecake made. OMG not wonder I can't loose these last 10 pounds!!! I got creative this year and made her a "hard cover" photo book of the girls beginning when Macy was a baby. Thanks to "My Publisher" it turned out great and she was super surprised!!! I tell ya she is very hard to buy for........not sure how I will top that next year!!

The weather here has been ridiculously hot and it's only the beginning. The kids are already BORED and everyday I feel like the summer camp counselor!! We finally used our water slide this weekend and the girls wore themselves out. As you can see from the pics Macy isn't looking her usual self. Saturday on her bike ride with daddy she got spooked from a wandering dog and crashed her bike. VERY TRAUMATIC but we are better today. She is without training wheels and when she went to speed up she lost control of her bike. Mia even got to wear her swim suit today. As you can see she has found her toes now if she could only get them to her mouth!! She has begun to teeth so I am off this week to look for things she can hold and get in her mouth with out getting so mad!! I will also be picking up some of those great teething tablets.

I ordered a magazine a few weeks ago and today it finally arrived. I couldn't be happier!! Normally I don't order such things b/c I don't have alot of time to read unless it's a good recipe. It is KIWI magazine it was really great. I found it somehow on the internet in all my efforts on going green. Which by the way are going good. My kids are getting to be little pros when it comes to organic and a bit wiser about our choices we make to help out the earth. I totally LOVE the Burt Bees for the baby and the diaper creme is the best!!

This year we did this for Aaron and framed it in a 3 way frame and it turned out cute!! (I used a horizontal frame but couldn't post my pics that way for some reason) We'll do this every year and see how the girls change throughout the years. Another round of vaccinations today and next week we will go back for the rest. I am splitting them up. Have I mentioned that before? They really get to many at one time it's overwhleming...... vaccinations blah blah blah that's a whole other post in itself. She weighed 14.10 and was 24 inches. Why do they ask if your giving cereal at 4 months? What baby is really ready for that? We just wait until 6 months. She is rolling over now every time I lay her down even when she sleeps she finds he way to her belly. On another note this is my 100th post since I have been blogging that is so hard to believe!!!

Finally it's time to start eating our tomatoes. It's been so hot and dry here BUT the bugs and birds have so far left our tomatoes alone. There is nothing better than a homegrown tomato with salt and pepper!!!

Recital 2008

Another year of recital has come and gone. The girls had a great time and Marlee enjoyed her first recital and I survived having the baby this year. I have come to realize that sitting and watching the show really isn't an option anymore. The girls together were in 5 routines which made us in a constant motion of dressing changes and getting where we needed to be for the next dance. I also learned never to run with a child (Marlee) on your hip, camera in your hand and treat bags on you wrist because you will fall and totally embarass yourself...trust me I know!!! I was exhausted when it was over but it is always worth it. The whole entire dance studio puts on an AWESOME show every year!!!

For a while now the baby has been trying to roll over. She gets on her side and rocks. Well, this morning she finally made it...... with the exception of her arm being underneath her it's official I would say. I don't know if it's what she really wanted because she started to cry LOL!!! She really reminds me a lot of how Marlee sleeps with her thumb and blankie so I couldn't help taking these pictures.

The girls planted some tomatoes a while back and we have just been waiting to see what would happen. Fortunately the birds and bugs haven't eaten them. I was shocked today when Macy said they had 19 !!! tomatoes. So Aaron is clearing the way for the rest of our garden. I am looking forward to bell peppers, okra, corn and squash just to name a few.

In which I should have run inside to gt the camcorder BUT I didn't instead I sat in my chair and just enjoyed the proud moment and stored it in my head hoping to never forget it. Macy wanted to ride her bike today without the training wheels and I suppose really its time. She will be 6 soon. When she asked i said no...recital is next weekend I could just foresee a broken bone. Well, she went above me and asked daddy when I wasn't around!!! So when I came back outside they were airing up the tires and adjusting the seat. Our lot is wide in the front so they went to the front yard in the "grass". She got on and Aaron walked a few steps and all I heard was " Let go daddy" off she went and never looked back.

It's official we have a Graduate!!! We couldn't be more proud either. The next time she gets in her red cap and gown will be the year 2021. YIKES!!! I am pretty sure that's right..... any way I will be 45 years old and that I know is correct. LOL The day was wild and woolly like all days that we have a special occasion. Is that just our family or does that happen to others...just wondering. Today it was the baby she didn't have a great afternoon for some mystery of a reason so she missed it and my mom and dad stayed at the house to care for her while I cherished the moment. Anyhow, Macy thoroughly enjoyed it all day long getting balloons, cookie cake, putting on her new dress, performing at church and little treats from grandparents and family. Her money is burning a hole in her pocket. I feel a trip to the store in our future. With this behind us now we have recital coming up next weekend and out of 5 costumes I have 2. I have treats and a cover up for Marlee to make so I am going to be busy this next week. I am off to get my hair done tomorrow and chelax under the dryer while I get my gray hairs covered !!!!

We are growing by leaps and bounds around here. I feel as though I am clutching everyday to make it last. I guess by the third child time seems to go by so quickly. Maybe due to the fact I am an old hand at this..... not perfect by any means just seasoned. I have had cute little names for all the girls. They are never intentional they just happen. Mia's happens to be "MOOSE". She has now moved into #2 diapers ....fitting quite well into 3-6 months and so strong maybe I should have called her OX. She loves to push with her feet and wraps her feet around your arm when you change her diaper......can turn on a dime with her back and gets herself into the most unhappy spot in the bassinet. I swear... some days I think if the child could just get up and crawl she would. We had a visit to the pediatricians office yesterday and she weighed 13.7 . I already believe the bouncy seat and swing will soon be gone as she tries to turn on her side as you can see it happens in the tub as well!!!!!

It's that time again. This year makes it "9" years of marital bliss and 12 years of togetherness. It's been a roller coaster ride with highs, lows and in between. BOSTON — If a stay-at-home mom could be compensated in dollars rather than personal satisfaction and unconditional love, she'd rake in a nifty sum of nearly $117,000 a year.
That's according to a pre-Mother's Day study released Thursday by Salary.com, a Waltham, Mass.-based firm that studies workplace compensation.
The eighth annual survey calculated a mom's market value by studying pay levels for 10 job titles with duties that a typical mom performs, ranging from housekeeper and day care center teacher to van driver, psychologist and chief executive officer.
This year, the annual salary for a stay-at-home mom would be $116,805, while a working mom who also juggles an outside job would get $68,405 for her motherly duties.
One stay-at-home mom said the six-figure salary sounds a little low.
"I think a lot of people think we sit and home and have a lot of fun and don't do a lot of work," said Samantha Russell, a Fremont, N.H., mother who left her job as pastry chef to raise two boys, ages 2 and 4. "But they should try cleaning their house with little kids running around and messing it up right after them."

The biggest driver of a mom's theoretical salary is the amount of overtime pay she'd receive for working more than 40 hours a week. The 18,000 moms surveyed about their typical week reported working 94.4 hours — meaning they'd be spending more than half their working hours on overtime.
Working moms reported an average 54.6 hour "mom work week" besides the hours they spent at paying jobs.
Russell agreed her job as a stay-at-home mom is more than full-time. But she said her "job" brings intangible benefits she wouldn't enjoy in the workplace.
"The rewards aren't monetary, but it's a reward knowing that they're safe and happy," Russell said of her sons. "It's worth it all."

Here are some pics from Mother's Day. I tried taking some of the girls outside because my Aunts yard is so pretty with all the flowers BUT the sunshine was so bright they all have their eyes closed. We had hamburgers and hot dogs, homemade ice cream and the best chocolate cake a girl trying to lose weight could ever eat!!! I went for a long walk today!!! My girls surprised me with a Mother's ring. I feel complete now.... LOL.... it's very pretty really.... sapphire/peridot/amethyst baguettes. Mia got to wear her first hat today. Tomorrow she will be 3 months and we are headed off to take a picture in a cute outfit from Grandma Shirley in Delaware and it has a hat to :)

I went to Target and they are carrying the Seventh Generation products along with their brand Method so as I need cleaning/soap/etc. I will be buying those. They are all really great!! Today we went for shots and a 2 month check up. She weighed 12.2 pounds and was 23 inches long!!!! We didn't get all the vaccinations today I decided to split them up this time around. So we will go back in 2 weeks for the rest of our 2 month shots.

Have you ever felt like that? Like your "that family"....honestly here lately that is how I have felt. It's been crazy with the baby and every week it seems like something else is going on. Just about the time you think what in the world could happen something does and then you think OK really when is it going to end. The lady at the insurance agency saw the baby for the first time the other day and after she went on about how cute she was she said " Aren't you glad it's over" HUH? I replied OVER? I thought it was just beginning. I guess that's life with all of our daily test. Aaron broke his wrist this past week........see what I mean. The girls looked so cute before church today I took a quick pic.

Mia is 2 months today and growing so fast. She is really gaining weight.....I am not sure what exactly she weighs but my guess would be close to 12 pounds LOL we have an appointment for shots on Tues. She is really aware of all that goes on here in the house and by no means is it quiet. I feel bad because I don't think she rest in the day like she should. She cat naps and eats all day. Loves the massage she gets every night after her bath she smiles and coos. I am excited because in 8 weeks I have lost 19 pounds and have 8 to go!!!

Doesn't the 1st pic look like a baby mug shot!! I ordered another baby sling today. WHY because Miss Thang hates the other. She is a cuddly up over the shoulder brake your back kinda kid...you know the one. The pouch sling for now requires you to cradle carry and slip them in and if she ain't nursing she wants no part of that position. So I am praying this MEI TAI wrap is the answer. My post have been short mainly because my time is limited.....write on the blog or eat......write on the blog or sleep which by the way I should be doing now......write on the blog or do laundry....see what I mean. So for now I am chatty and she is sleeping/vibrating in her chair. Surprisingly enough this baby likes the swing. I didn't get a big monster space hogging swing because the last two didn't care for it. I opted for a travel swing and I am getting my monies worth for now. The girls are busily getting ready for recital. I am somewhat dreading it this year and excited all the same. It's Marlee's first and Macy has several numbers but the thought occurred to me the other day I really doubt I will get to watch much because I will be backstage changing clothes and tending to a baby. I am already looking for activities for the girls to do this summer. So they will stay busy at least once a week and won't be so stir crazy. I would love for them to take swimming lessons BUT Macy can't stand to get her face wet.....yet she wants a pool...hmmm that could be a problem. I can't blame her... not that I would tell her but I don't like to go underwater either so she get it honestly. Now Marlee she's like a fish. It's already time for KINDERGARTEN registration this April. That seemed so far away and here it is. The girls really , really need their hair cut having the baby has made me realize less is more LOL washing and drying and combing good grief. Well, the baby is up so I gotta go..............
